Arts Therapy uses a wide range of creative practices to explore and externalise what is going on and provides ways to process experiences, discover insights and new perspectives to move forward. Techniques are selected based on client strengths and preferences and provides a safe and creative way to access flow state and improve overall mental health and wellbeing. This modality integrates a broad range of therapuetic foundations with creative and arts based techniques, it makes the talk tangible.
Neurographica (neuro=brain; graphica=line) is a dynamic and recent art making process that is a creative tool to help support your mental health and wellbeing. Neurographica is a form of guided drawing that uses line, shape and colour in a symbolic and abstract art process that transforms thoughts, feelings, and experiences as energy on a page. This technique can be used for individuals and groups on any topic to make ideas and thinking visual and tanglible. It is an excellent technique to access "flow" state using mindfulness and awareness.
EFT is a self-applied stress reduction technique that works on the Primo Vascular System to reduce nervous system activation in relation to any topic, memory, experience or emotional state. It uses a process of "tapping" on known acupressure points coupled with statements to support reductions in stress and improvements in mental health and wellbeing. EFT provides a diverse range of tools to support clients to achieve their goals. EFT is evidence based with over 300 studies that document the method's effectiveness with a broad range of client groups. Further, throughout these studies there has been no incidents of adverse experience of participants. EFT is increasingly being used in diverse settings to support clinical and non-clinical outcomes.
Sometimes, talking things through is what is needed and I use a wide variety of approaches including Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Based Therapy, Compassion Based Therapy, Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Holistic Based Therapies.
Navigating work and careers is incredibly complex and often we are using tools and skills that we learned in high school to navigate and move forward. Career Therapy integrates career counselling theories and practices with talk therapy designed to support clients in their work and career challenges to find strategies and new ways forward, while also ensuring that mental health and wellbeing are integrated for sustainable career success.
Laughter Therapy is a form of laughter yoga that integrates yoga foundations with the expression of joy, laughter and happiness in a process that supports overall health and wellbeing.
